Merced’s Original Certified Farmers Market has been providing produce from local Organic Farmers for more than 30 years, it is a Certified Farmers Market. Peak season is in late summer with 12 to 15 member-growers bringing a wide range of fruits, vegetables and nuts. Merced’s Farmers Market is the the only Market that runs year around.

Currently I am researching Genetically engineered foods verses organic, and am amazed by reading an artical by Bill Lambrecht and Deirdre Shesgreen POST-DISPATCH WASHINGTON BUREAU St. Louis Post from Pro Quest stateing Monsanto Co. the agricultural and biotech giant based in Creve Coeur, Despite years of controversy over Monsanto;s genetically modified seeds, there hasn’t been a single congressional hearing on legisltation calling for lableing genetically modified foods, even as much of Europe, Japan and several other nations adopted labeling laws. When shopping for groceries at my local store I certainly do not see a label gmo on products DO I REALLY KNOW WHAT’S in my meat, vegatable, and dairy.
