By watching and recording the bees at sunflowers in your garden, you can help us understand the challenges that bees are facing. We’ll be sending out annual Lemon Queen sunflower seeds in early March 2009. Just in time to plant!
- It takes less than 30 minutes.
- It’s easy.
- Free Sunflower seeds for planting.
- No knowledge of bees required!
Enter your bee counts online or send us your paper form.
We would love to have you join us; let’s help our most important pollinators together!
If you signed up in 2008, we will send you seeds again this spring. We’ll send you an email this winter to confirm your mailing address and if you respond, your seed will go out in late March or early April.
We love having beekeepers participate.

I’m interested in your sunflower seeds and other seed for farmers. I live in South Carolina and I’m interested in seeds for my land (about 100 acres).

[...] Here is a link for information on something fun and easy to do at home, especially with kids. Unfortunately I think it is too late this year, but put it on the calendar for next year and I will try to remind you too! http://localchoicescv.com/2009/03/05/free-seeds-from-the-great-sunflower-project/ [...]
I am hoping that I become one of the lucky winners of a Bee Calendar!
I filled out the survey and would love to get a calendar for next year. The one this year is great and I love all the pictures!
