Its Fair Time in Merced and this years theme is all about sheep!
Did you know sheep are one of Merced County’s top ag products and have you ever seen a sheep being sheard?
Well if you make it to this county fair come to The Old MacDonalds Farm and see our local sheep farmers Robert and Emily Lindsey of Sorensen Farms giving a sheep shearing demonstration!
Kat and her work force consisting of son Josh and friends have been busy setting up Old MacDonalds Farm Petting Zoo for the last couple of weeks. It’s looking good, there are many stalls set up under a huge building with large fans and misters to keep the animals and visitors cool.
Exotic and domestic Animals will start arriving Monday to do their job of entertaining the public and in the middle of all these amazing animals will sit a Local Choices display! I am looking forward to talking with people and sharing information on all the wonderful small organic and natural farms we have discovered right here in the Central Valley.
